Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has openly admitted to tapping up Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante over a transfer to the Parc des Princes during their time together at the World Cup this summer.
The 19-year-old had a superb tournament for Les Bleus, playing a key role in them winning their second World Cup with big goals in the last 16 against Argentina and in the 4-2 final victory over Croatia.

Whilst undoubtedly a world class talent who’s been a joy to watch, Mbappe seems to have been a bit sneaky in terms of leaving Chelsea star Kante messages about a move to PSG.
‘Tapping up’ a player under contract without permission from a club has landed players and managers in trouble in the past, even though there’s little doubt this kind of thing must go on a lot.
Mbappe, however, has been very honest in his attempts to persuade Kante to join him at PSG, which is unlikely to go down well with Chelsea.
‘It is true that he (PSG President Al Khelaifi) has consulted me. And I said to him once again that Kante would be good for our team,’ Mbappe told France Football.
‘I spoke to N’Golo during the World Cup, but not extensive because I know that when you bombard the brain with transfer stuff. … At the end, I left a few words in his pockets, that he would have discovered once he got home (from the World Cup) to properly send a message.’
Kante has been a key member of Chelsea’s team in the last couple of seasons, and is undoubtedly a world class player they would not want to lose.
The Blues already face major doubt over some big names this summer as the likes of Goal note that Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois face uncertain futures, while the Daily Mail link Willian with Barcelona.
