With just four days to get signings done, here’s a look at who the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea could be bringing in before Thursday night’s transfer deadline.

There’s still potential for it to be a busy end to the summer, particularly as the Red Devils and the Blues have left it pretty late without doing a great deal of spending so far.

Arsenal and Tottenham are also being linked with some potential late business, though with a lack of Liverpool stories going about it seems like their superb recruitment of the likes of Alisson, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri means their transfer business is largely over.

Here’s our pick of nine major Premier League transfers we think are well worth keeping an eye on in the next few days…

Willian to Manchester United

The Willian to Manchester United saga has been dragging on for a while, but the Daily Mirror claim is still on in the final days of the transfer window.

The report states MUFC remain keen on landing Willian from Chelsea, in a move that seems logical given their needs in attack.

Alexis Sanchez and others have failed to really click in that area, while runaway champions Manchester City were a joy to watch in attack, so that’s the kind of change needed to help close the gap.

Willian has posed in Chelsea’s new kit but will he stick around?

Anthony Martial to Chelsea

Heading the other way in the deal could be Anthony Martial, according to the Mirror, who has fallen out of favour with Jose Mourinho.

The France international has failed to impress for much of his time at Old Trafford, but is a youngster with plenty of potential who could do a job for Chelsea.

If Willian goes, Blues fans would surely be happy to see Martial join as part of the deal, providing a ready-made replacement in their front three.

Paul Pogba to Barcelona

Mino Raiola is keen to discuss selling Paul Pogba to Barcelona for £100million with Manchester United, according to the Daily Star.

It’s no secret that the former Juventus midfielder has simply not looked an ideal fit for Mourinho’s Red Devils side, and a move to replace Andres Iniesta at the Nou Camp makes a lot of sense for him.

Pogba may justifiably feel he deserves better than toiling in this United side that looks no closer to winning meaningful honours any time soon.

Paul Pogba could be a superb signing for Barcelona

Ousmane Dembele to Arsenal

And that Paul Pogba story is made all the more intriguing by claims that it could mean Barcelona end up selling Ousmane Dembele to Arsenal.

According to RAC1, as translated by the Metro, the young French forward could be the player to make way to help raise funds for the Pogba transfer.

Gooners would absolutely love this, with Dembele a huge prospect who looks worth gambling on despite a difficult time settling at Barca – hey, he’s got to be better than Alex Iwobi or Danny Welbeck, let’s face it.

Toby Alderweireld to Manchester United

The Daily Mirror claim this deal is close, with Toby Alderweireld making perfect sense as an addition to improve this United defence.

The Belgium international surprisingly fell out of favour at Tottenham last season but they could at least now land a big transfer fee for him.

United, meanwhile, will secure the signing of one of the top centre-backs in Europe that represents a major upgrade on their current options in that area.

Domagoj Vida to Arsenal

The Sun report that Unai Emery is eager to sign one more defender for Arsenal before the end of the summer, with Domagoj Vida his preferred target.

The Croatia international impressed at the World Cup this summer with some solid displays for the beaten finalists, and seems an ideal fit for the Premier League.

Arsenal are another team in dire need of better defensive options after sloppy displays from Shkodran Mustafi in particular last season.

Thibaut Courtois has been linked with Real Madrid for much of the summer

Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid

This one has rambled on all summer, but with Thibaut Courtois’ agent giving an interview to the Sun urging Chelsea to let his client join Real Madrid, the pressure is on.

The Belgian shot-stopper would be a fine signing for Madrid as a top class upgrade on Keylor Navas, and as his agent makes clear, it would be an important personal move for the player to be closer to his family.

Chelsea won’t be happy about the situation, but with Courtois now in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, they may not have much choice but to cash in now.

Gianluigi Donnarumma to Chelsea

Chelsea selling Courtois, however, will surely hinge on them finding a replacement, and Don Balon claim Courtois’ agent is pushing for Mino Raiola to get his client Gianluigi Donnarumma to west London for precisely that purpose.

A superb young ‘keeper, Donnarumma would be a great long-term signing for CFC if they could pull it off, though such an ambitious deal could be tricky in just four days until the transfer deadline.

Aaron Ramsey to Chelsea

The Daily Express claim Chelsea are preparing a late move to sign Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal to bolster their midfield.

The Wales international is yet to sign a new contract and has just a year to run on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium, so could be available on the cheap.

The Express claim Chelsea could try landing Ramsey for £35m after missing out on other midfield targets this summer.

Aaron Ramsey could leave Arsenal for late transfer to Chelsea

Jack Grealish to Tottenham

Finally, the Evening Standard report that Tottenham are confident of getting a deal done for Aston Villa forward Jack Grealish.

The England Under-21 international seems just the type of player Mauricio Pochettino could take and mould into a quality attacker, just as he’s done with other English youngsters like Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier.

If Spurs are to grind out another top four finish this season, they will surely need to bring in some new faces after a quiet summer so far.
