Trabzonspor keeper and Turkey international Ugurcan Cakir would be interested in Premier League move this summer, according to his brother and his agent.

There were multiple reports that Leeds and Newcastle will be looking for a goalkeeper this summer and both teams are confident there will be substantial transfer budget to spend when transfer window opens.

The 25-year-old would be available for close to £17m and according to Fanatik, Leeds already have been in contact with his agent for a possible move, but a move to Tyneside would be more likely considering the budget PIF are planning to spend this summer.

“It is a great honour for Ugurcan to be the captain of Trabzonspor and to serve in the national team,” says Nedcet Cakir, the 25-year-old’s brother and agent.

“Ugurcan’s only current goal is to become a champion at Trabzonspor. When he completes his mission in Trabzonspor, he wants to go to Europe if he can.”

Eddie Howe looks adamant to add another goalkeeper to rival Martin Dubravka for the starting line-up and would be willing to pay the asking price for Turkish star.
