Newcastle concerned about 25-year-old injury record

The Northern Echo reports that Newcastle is worried about Saint-Maximin’s injury history. A hamstring issue has caused him to miss last eight games.

The report also states that Saint-Maximin’s concerns may prompt the owners of the Toon to spend big money on another winger.

Despite the signing of Alexander Isak, Newcastle are keen to add another attacker to the squad and have substantial budget to complete the deal in January.

Newcastle have been on fine form despite the injury of Maximin and remain unbeaten in the games that the Frenchman has missed recently.

The Tyneside club have been strongly linked with Mousa Diaby, James Maddison and Leandro Trossard and January move could be on cards for either one of them.
