Bruno Guimaraes injury update released by Daily Mail

Bruno Guimaraes will only be out for a few weeks as opposed to several months after an ankle injury, according to a scan results.

When manager Eddie Howe indicated following Sunday’s 1-0 victory against Fulham that the player was still in some agony and that “that is never a good indication,” there were concerns the Brazilian might have torn ligaments.

The 25-year-old rolled his ankle and continued to play for another 25 minutes before leaving the field in tears at halftime.

Sportsmail can confirm that Guimaraes’ scan results are positive on Monday. According to what the report suggests, he will likely spend no more than a week or two in the treatment room.
