According to the German publication Kicker, Georginio Rutter, who left Hoffenheim for Leeds United during the January transfer window, had no real desire to complete the transfer

According to the article, he “shed bitter tears” over the transfer after his agent persuaded him to do it.

Rutter moved to Leeds in January for a club-record £35 million. The 20-year-old played 64 times for Hoffenheim and contributed to 19 goals.

Rutter has experienced some bad luck since relocating to Leeds. Rutter played for Leeds in the league and cup, starting just three of his eight games. He had a goal wrongfully disallowed and then hit the post against Fulham.
