Newcastle winger on verge of completing St. James Park exit

Journalist Ben Jacobs thinks Allan Saint-Maximin is very close to Newcastle departure as he nears move to Al-Ahli.

The 26-year-old will complete medical in next 48 hours and move is set to be announced very soon.

Ben Jacobs said: “Deal now pretty much done. Allan Saint-Maximin has a medical booked. Fee is around €35m.”

Newcastle have already pounced immediately by reaching deal for Harvey Barnes as his replacement from Leicester City in £38m move.

On his day, the £93,000 a week player can be a fantastic player, but Saint-Maximin has struggled to be a reliable performer for Eddie Howe.
