– Apparently the reason Vieira left Arsenal was not because they lacked ambition , as had been suggested, but because he felt the Gunners wanted the money more than they wanted their captain.
– Tottenham boss Martin Jol has once again revealed his admiration for Arjen Robben, saying that should the Chelsea winger become available he would lodge a ‘mega offer’. While it seems unlikely that Jose Mourinho would let such a quality player go to the likes of Arsenal or Manchester United, perhaps seeing Spurs as less of a threat would allow this transfer to happen.
