The tears have dried up, now it’s time to lay the blame on the players who let us down so badly that we can barely bring ourselves to complete the England squad in our Panini album.
Undoubtedly Hargreaves will come through relatively unscathed after showing us that we should probably watch a couple of Bayern Munich matches before we call him crap. But let’s take a moment to reflect on the tournament that was, the dismal showing in the group stages and against Ecuador followed by a barely palatable performance against Portugal.
