Lampard Loses Even More Friends

In Forum Focus, we put the spotlight on one of the more interesting message board discussions from across the various Premiership club forums. This time, we enjoy the hate-hate relationship that West Ham supporters have with Frank Lampard.

Frank Lampard hates West Ham supporters. West Ham supporters hate Frank Lampard. It’s just one of those fantastic Premiership feuds along with Tottenham and Sol Campbell, Liverpool and Gary Neville and… uh … Keith Gillespie and Manchester United?

Anyway, after Chelsea’s 1-0 win over West Ham last weekend the boys over at the newly renovated kumb.com are up in arms over Frank Lampard’s reaction following the final whistle when, West Ham shirt slung over his shoulder, he apparently jeered and pumped his fist to the crowd repeatedly.

I was at the match. The fat C*nt made a W*nker gesture towards us then turned it in to a clenched fist celebration. I hope someones got pictures of it and he gets done.

A fine way for Lamps to ensure an even more abuse-filled welcome next time he stops by Upton Park. But what’s surprising is that a good number of the forum members have come out and admitted that Lampard is only reacting to the abuse he has always gotten from some sections of the Hammer support who are now getting what they merely deserve. Hard to imagine that a Spurs discussion about Sol Campbell would end up quite as balanced, but then there was a little more edge to his transfer to Arsenal than Lampard’s to Chelsea.

The posts in the thread are a perfect example of the passions and emotions that make football the best sport in the world, it also makes for some good reading. Some of the finer comments are after the jump and you can find all 8 glorious pages here. Slap your own thoughts on Franky Lamps in the comments.

I was taught about the consequences of my actions in school. The consequences of our fans actions towards Frank for 90 mins at Stamford Bridge resulted in him giving us the wanker sign. We abuse him for 90 mins, he abuses us for a few seconds. Some of our supporters just can’t take it and want him done for it. Ffs grow up. Handle it. Frank does. I bet he loves it when we boo him for 90 mins. It must give him that bit extra to his game.

No, what I’m saying is that he is a very rich young man that doesn’t give a toss what you or I think of him most days, but when subjected to the abuse he receives- retaliates.
You have to remember that while you may be a West Ham fan, he isn’t. He’s a footballer, trying to attain the best working conditions for him and his family.

I respect anyone that succeeds in life. What I don’t respect is someone forgetting where he came from and acting like an arrogant c*nt. OK, well done Frank you’ll have more money than I’m likely to ever have, walk off the pitch and applaud “your fans” and keep your nasty comments and gestures to yourself, show some humility and respect. If he did that in the first place he would never have got the abuse he gets in the first place.
