Three Things You Learned This Weekend? (Part 36)

Everyone saw the Premiership matches they cared about, and it’s a rather lengthy process trudging through the match reports of every club that matters little to you – especially if you’re still carrying the stench of defeat.

So instead, after every round of matches here’s the chance for everyone to share the three things they learned from the weekend’s Premiership football. A sort of cheatsheet, only with more profanity. To see what folks learned last time, click here.

This week it could be that Chelsea’s performance reminded us what they looked like before Shevchenko and Ballack turned up, that it really is a bit anticlimactic for Manchester United to win the title without playing, that Sammy Lee is going to have the toughest job in the Premiership next season, that next season’s UEFA place competition is going to be the most intense ever, that Clint Dempsey makes it two Americans that Fulham are indebted to or that kids everywhere are going to be trying “The Downing” in training.

Here’s a list of the results as a refresher:

Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea
Aston Villa 3-0 Sheff Utd
Everton 3-0 Portsmouth
Fulham 1-0 Liverpool
Man City 0-1 Man Utd
Newcastle 0-2 Blackburn
Reading 0-2 Watford
West Ham 3-1 Bolton
Wigan 0-1 Middlesbrough
