Alex Ferguson Doesn’t Want To Help Liverpool For Some Reason

The Manchester United boss, for some inexplicable reason, is in no mood to help Liverpool strengthen their squad with Gabriel Heinze for next season – although if we were a particularly optimistic Newcastle supporter then our ears might perk up,

“I can assure you, Liverpool will not be getting Gabriel Heinze,” stated Ferguson.

“We can put that to bed right now and we have done so.

“We have had a couple of offers for him and we have turned them down.”

Ferguson also revealed that Heinze’s agent has been trying to engineer a transfer for the past 18 months, with Barcelona and Real Madrid also having been linked with bids.

He added: “Heinze’s agents are rolling the ball all the time.

“But no matter what his agent thinks, we are in the driving seat.

“I don’t exactly know what Gaby thinks because it is all coming from his agent, but this has been going on for a year-and-a-half now.”

With Patrice Evra claiming that he’s not the automatic first choice at Old Trafford, Heinze has plenty to stay and fight for especially considering that his place in the side was really broken up by injury more than anything else. The fact that Ferguson has gone and signed a kabillion more attacking players shows a commitment to rotation, although if his agents are spreading rumours left and right then we imagine Heinze would have stopped them if he wasn’t on board with the plan.
