Life Gets Worse For Spurs As Berbatov And Kaboul Sidelined For Weeks

We’re trying not to write about Tottenham, we really are. Arsenal and Liverpool enjoyed great away wins today, Manchester United drew and Cristiano Ronaldo headbutted someone. It’s all well and good.

But how can you ignore a club with such high expectations being ripped apart at the seams before our very eyes?

Everyone knows about the terrible showings in losses to Sunderland and Everton, and now it seems that their 8 million pound back up centre back and star striker are out for weeks with knocks,

“We’ve had a couple more blows,” said manager Martin Jol.

“Younes Kaboul will be out for the next three or four weeks with the hamstring injury he suffered against Everton, that’s a real kick in the teeth and Dimitar Berbatov has a groin problem.

“It’s an old problem and he will now visit a specialist in Germany. He will be out for a couple of weeks.”

If you’re keeping track, Tottenham now have their 3 first choice centre backs, 3 first choice left backs, first choice right winger and first choice striker all injured. They have 0 points, and have scored 1 goal.

At least they won’t be short of strikers… right?
