According to the Police Review Magazine, which in itself surely needs more explanation, fans from Manchester United, Chelsea and Leeds are the rowdiest and most problematic to handle. Which is probably just a tad bit shocking.
The notion of legions of sitting, plastic, prawn sarnie-eating, silent fans are probably what most would expect from table topping sides like United or Chelsea so to hear that they’re actually the ones causing the pigs the most trouble is refreshing. And also sounds vaguely like bollocks.
Supt Graham Bamford said: “A match between Bolton and Man Utd would be hugely problematic for us as there is a history between these clubs.”
