The Times reports that in an exclusive interview the Aston Villa boss Martin O’Neill says he thinks that Jose Mourinho, “would be an excellent choice” for England – but how long before the penny drops with old FA duffer Brian Barwick?
The tally of people who have now backed Mourinho is now about 99% of full-blooded Englishmen, Arsene Wenger, most of the Chelsea Squad, and even Mourinho himself…but when will the FA get the message? The Times reports that:
“It is expected that the new man will be in place before England’s next game, a friendly at home to Switzerland on February 6.”
So will crusty fartbag Barwick have picked up the phone and called Mourinho by then?
