Manchester City star Elano fancies some Champions League action and reckons that it isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that his team will qualify for the Champions League, and thinks that they can be title challengers soon too.
Elano said:
“Eventually we will try and get some titles or trophies – maybe next year or the year after we will go for a title,”
“The title (this season) is too early, we want to do things by stages, and do things properly.
“This year; maybe a Uefa Cup place or Champions League place. The main thing is playing well and being happy with my team-mates.
“I had never met Eriksson before I moved to Manchester City, but our position in the league is down to what happens on the training pitch.”
There is no doubt that Sven is a good manager (sometimes), and that owner Thaksin Shinawatra has more dosh in his pockets than dodgy human rights accusations hovering over him. So with the ulitmate Chelski style – good manager – rich owner combo they can’t go wong, can they?
