46. Romelu Lukaku

The powerful teenager may only have been playing at West Bromwich Albion last season, but his goals helped an otherwise poor side punch above their weight to secure their highest ever finish in the English top flight.

Quick, strong, and with an indelible eye for goal, it’s easy to forget that he is still only 20-years-old, and now that he is back at Chelsea with a manager that is ready to give him a chance to prove himself, it would be no surprise to see him surpass Fernando Torres as the club’s main striker.

His crowning moment for the Baggies was the hattrick he netted in the final game of the season against Manchester United. The game ended in a 5-5 draw, and it undoubtedly gave Sir Alex Ferguson a reason to remember his final game in charge.

Part of the exciting young Belgian squad that is all set to make a World Cup return next summer, he’ll be hoping for a personally and collectively successful season at Stamford Bridge as he hopes to be given the starting nod against fellow CaughtOffside 50 inductee, Christian Benteke.
