The Turkish international has gatecrashed the CaughtOffside 50 thanks to his impressive form in the Champions League last season, as well as his electric domestic form.
After joining Galatasaray for the bargain fee of €5 million last summer, he quickly became a household name due to his European form – finishing as the top scorer of the Champions League group stages.
His goals fired them into the quarter final stages, where they crashed out at the hands of Spanish giants Real Madrid. After years of disappointment on the European front, the Turkish side were able to reflect on a relatively successful campaign this time around.
The Istanbul club were their usual dominant selves domestically, leading the charge for the Super Lig from beginning to end as Burak topped the goalscoring charts for a second season running with 24 strikes next to his name.
