The brilliant Uruguay international has once again been in the headlines this week, although on this occasion for all the right reasons after the striker’s sensational four-goal salvo in the Premier League against Norwich City at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Suarez, 26, has already managed to register 17 goals and five assists in total in just 18 matches in all competitions for club and country so far this season, and even then the forward missed the first month and a half of the campaign through suspension.

However, it is that kind of eye-catching form in front of goal though that has now once again increased the speculation about Suarez’s future on Merseyside, with La Liga giants Real Madrid thought to be preparing a big-money offer somewhere in the region of the £50 million mark for the player when the winter transfer window opens again for business for the year in January.

And that is why the Reds’ American owners, the Fenway Sports Group, are now believed to be preparing a new bumper contract in the new year to extend Suarez’s stay at the club beyond the summer of 2016.
