The top-flight outfit parted company with the Portuguese trainer on Monday, 24 hours after the club had been thrashed 5-0 by Uefa Champions League-chasing rivals Liverpool in the Premier League at White Hart Lane.

However, Spurs technical director Franco Baldini reacted quickly to the young coach’s departure from the capital by immediately making contact with the Eredivisie champions to inquire about the possibility of opening talks with De Boer with regard to the former Ajax, FC Barcelona and Glasgow Rangers defender taking over at White Hart Lane.

But the Italian has been informed that the 43-year-old has no intention whatsoever of quitting the Amsterdam ArenA, especially in the middle of a campaign in which the Dutch giants are going for a fourth straight title since De Boer replaced previous coach Martin Jol at the club in December 2010.

And not only that, but the ex-Netherlands international skipper also only just put pen to paper on a new four-year deal that runs until 2017 last summer.
