The two Brazilian defenders have been at Old Trafford for the last six years now, although of the two it has been right-back Rafael that enjoyed more first-team action.

Fabio, however, was shipped out on a season-long loan to Premier League strugglers Queens Park Rangers last time out, although the left back did eventually return to the Theatre of Dreams last summer following the west London club’s eventual relegation to the Championship.

And now, according to both defenders’ agent Cassiano Pereira, the duo appear set to depart the north west once this current campaign draws to a close.

“At the moment I can say that they will remain in Manchester until the end of the season, but in the summer it is very likely that they can go,” the representative told Calciomercato.

However, while left-back Fabio is only contracted to the Red Devils until June 30 2014 and so will be available on a lucrative free transfer next summer, his twin brother, right-back Rafael, has a deal with the champions that last until 2016.
