The Premier League leaders have been heavily linked with a whole host of players ever since the winter transfer window reopened at the start of the month.

However, with now only a little more than a week left for the north London club to recruit new players, it appears as though the Frenchman is using the rare sight of a spare week without any action involving his team to complete some last-minute transfer business.

So far, the Gunners have been rumoured to be scouting a number of potential new targets, with a centre forward understood to be Wenger’s main priority for January.

In fact, it has been rumoured of late that Wenger is keen on landing prolific FC Porto front man Jackson Martinez in order to aid current first-choice front man Olivier Giroud in the second half of the campaign, so maybe the Arsenal boss was jetting off to Oporto then?
