PSG are also keen on Manchester City’s Pablo Zabaleta and Newcastle’s Mathieu Debuchy.

The Serbia international’s current contract with the west London club runs until June 30 2016, and the big-spending Parisians are hoping to be able to tempt the reliable full back across the Channel to the French capital this summer.

However, if recent noises coming out of Stamford Bridge are to be believed, then Ivanovic is happy with life in the capital at present and is set to sit down with the Uefa Europa League holders at the end of the campaign to discuss the possibility of extending his stay at the club.

The Serb was actually targeted by PSG last summer, however, the player was assured at the time that he was very much part of returning Chelsea head coach Jose Mourinho’s plans, and nothing the defender has done on the pitch so far in this campaign has alerted the Portuguese’s view on that.

In fact, the 29-year-old’s form has been so impressive, that Chelsea now want to hand him a contract extension and raise his current £120,000-per-week salary too.
