The France international’s current contract with the Premier League champions draws to an end on June 30 2014, and so Evra will be available to purchase on a lucrative Bosman-style free transfer for any interested suitors come the summer.
And it is believed that Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio was in the crowd at the Emirates on Wednesday evening to personally run his eye over the 32-year-old as the Red Devils took on arch rivals Arsenal in the Premier League.
However, the Italian outfit know that they will face stiff competition for the defender’s signature next season from the likes of big-spending Ligue 1 sides Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco, with both those two sides known to also be desperate to lure the player back home this summer.
But Inter are believed to be confident of being able to persuade Evra to swap Old Trafford for San Siro, with the attacking full back having definitely made up his mind to leave the north west come what may.
