Reds have been scouting the flyer for some time now.
Premier League giants face the prospect of losing out to mega-rich Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign highly rated Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk wide man Yevhen Konoplyanka when the summer transfer window does finally reopen for business again on July 1, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The Merseysiders have been keeping close tabs on the Ukraine international for some time now, with the Reds even coming desperately close to signing the 24-year-old in the January transfer market.
However, after days of face-to-face negotiations with the Ukrainian outfit, Dnipro then suddenly raised their asking price for Konoplyanka right at the very last minute, and so leading to the collapse of the deal, although it was still expected that Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers would return for the player at the end of the campaign.
But the Northern Irishman now faces missing out on his number-one transfer target after news emerged that officials from the big-spending Parisians had met with intermediaries from Dnipro in Qatar on Monday to discuss the transfer of Konoplyanka to the Parc des Princes this summer.
