The north London club know that they will be in need of at least two new strikers to bring to White Hart Lane for next season with England international Jermain Defoe having already left the club to join Major League Soccer outfit Toronto FC during the January transfer market, while Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor is also expected to quit the capital come the summer.

As a result, the north Londoners are understood to already be busy drawing up a list of possible players to take over up front from those two internationals at the Lane next season, and one of the names believed to be on the club’s wish list is that on France international Remy.

The forward is currently spending a season-long loan spell with Newcastle United, although that is set to come to an end at the climax to this campaign, and with Remy’s next destination likely to be decided purely by whichever suitor can meet QPR’s valuation of the player, that then puts Spurs in the driving seat.
