The Colombian’s switch to Stamford Bridge had looked to be a done deal, with Punto Pelota confident that the deal would be completely imminently.

However, according to Sport, Valencia have been keeping tabs on the forward and are considering a bid for the Manchester United flop.

El Tigre may have endured a disappointing season in the Premier League, managing only four goals in 26 EPL outings, but his poor form doesn’t appear to have dissuaded several major sides from expressing interest in the forward.

United may have opted not to have activated the £43 million-clause they had to sign Falcao permanently following the end of his loan spell [via ESPN], but Zenit Saint-Petersburg are considering bringing Falcao to Russia according to Sky Sports.

Should Valencia ultimately miss out on the Colombian, they may well turn their attention to FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez, with Sport reporting that the club retain interest in Falcao’s compatriot.
