Bayern Munich have announced that they are setting up a special training camp for refugees, offering meals and German lessons for fleeing men, women and children.

The Bundesliga champions have gone into detail on this scheme on their official site, with Germany truly leading the way in terms of helping vulnerable people in his humanitarian crisis.

The UK has come under some strong criticism for not doing enough to help refugees stranded in Calais, and one hopes Bayern’s fine example here will lead to Premier League clubs upping their game.
