Manchester City Player Ratings vs. Juventus: Match Report & Video Highlights as Pellegrini’s boys come unstuck in Europe once again

Manchester City‘s Champions League struggles continued as they fell to a 1-0 defeat away at Juventus on Wednesday.

Mario Mandzukic opened the scoring in the 18th minute of an ill-tempered affair, and while City had their chances, they were unable to breach the Old Lady-an improving force in Serie A in recent weeks following their own miserable start to the season.

Fernando and Raheem Sterling will be particularly disappointed at having missed fine chances to equalise for the visitors, as Pellegrini’s side cede the initiative in their Champions League group.

Here are the Manchester City Player Ratings following their 1-0 defeat by Juventus.

Joe Hart: 7/10

Unfortunate to be on the losing side, as Hart regularly brings his best game to the Champions League. Replaced by Willy Caballero late on.

Bacary Sagna: 6/10

A troubled evening, perhaps suggesting Sagna’s past his best for these truly elite evenings. Outshone by Alex Sandro.
