Video: Real Madrid share Clasico tekkers clip only a week before Barcelona showdown; Merengues mind games?

Real Madrid have shared a video on their official Twitter handle as a potential attempt to start the mind games ahead of their El Clasico showdown with Barcelona next weekend.

The video, taken from a recent match between the two, shows playmaker Isco bamboozling Andres Iniesta with some fine footwork, before threading the ball through to Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese superstar sends the ball across the box to James Rodriguez, who takes out Sergio Busquets with a disguised pass to Karim Benzema.

The French striker makes no mistake and his right-foot shot beats Claudio Bravo and nestles in the net after coming off the post.

The Real Madrid Twitter handle shared the video with the lines “six days until El Clasico,” and clearly the upcoming bout is high in their thoughts.

The two sides meet at the Nou Camp on Saturday, April 2, with Barcelona looking to edge closer to the Spanish title by seeing off their rivals, who sit down in third place.

Barca will be overwhelming favourites for the high-profile bout, having devastating their rivals 4-0 earlier this season. Los Blancos have improved under Zinedine Zidane, but it remains to be seen how they can contend with their arch rivals, who sit 12 points ahead of them in the Spanish top flight.
