Everton pursue £17M-rated Palermo striker as they prepare for Lukaku departure

Everton are interested in signing Palermo Ilija Nestorovski and sent scouts to watch him against Juventus on Friday, report Calciomercato.

Nestorovski made a name for himself during his time in Croatia with NK Inter Zapreši?, where he found the back of the net 69 times in 90 league appearances.

It earned him a move to one Serie A, one of Europe’s big five leagues, where he has fast become a cornerstone in Palermo’s starting side.

The 26-year-old has scored nine times in his opening 25 Serie A appearances, and has also provided three assists. His good form appears to have captured the attention of Everton boss Ronald Koeman.

Calciomercato cite TMW in reporting that Nestorovski is being tracked by Everton, who are preparing for the departure of Romelu Lukaku in the summer transfer window.

Lukaku’s influence would be difficult to replace, but Nestorovski has more than proven his goal scoring credentials during his short time at Palermo.
