Liverpool trolled by Man United fan after being forced into awkward change

Manchester United have the chance to win the EFL Cup on Sunday, and it could be a disappointing day for Liverpool as they risk losing a very proud record.

It’s something that one United fan in particular was all too pleased about, as if the Red Devils defeat Southampton in the EFL Cup final this weekend, they’ll surpass their bitter rivals as being the most successful team in England with 42 major honours.

As noticed by many on Twitter, the Merseyside giants have opted to get ahead of the game and have already removed the proud honour from their profile bio in anticipation of Jose Mourinho’s men claiming the victory on Sunday.

While it may well be a little premature, it remains to be seen if United do indeed take the record, with Liverpool’s league and general trophy woes set to continue for another year.

Jurgen Klopp’s men looked on course to launch a sustained title push this season but faltered after the turn of the year while they fell agonisingly short in cup finals last season in the German tactician’s first year in charge.

In turn, they’ll be hoping for better luck next season, but for the time being, they face an anxious wait to see whether or not they’ll keep hold of that record for another month or so at least or if United claim further bragging rights over them…
