Tottenham finally as good as they think they are?

If the supposed in-the-knows over at Spurs message board COYS.

With grains of salt wildly thrown everywhere, the transfer of the Chelsea flyer has been doing plenty of rounds of the rumor mill for months now with a variety of things – initial price, wages and now health – popping up as obstacles. But it seems that the Irish winger could be the man to fill the troublesome left wing for Tottenham that had Martin Jol playing a lopsided 4-4-2 for much of the season.

This would mean last season’s fifth place squad could currently boast Duff and Lennon on the wings, two of Zokora, Carrick, Tainio and Jenas in the middle, two of Defoe, Keane and Berbatov up front and King, Dawson and Robinson thrown in somewhere at the back.

Very impressive on paper to say the least, but have Tottenham finally put together a top four side to match their top four spending? Or will Arsenal be celebrating St. Totteringham’s Day again next season?
