Having been awarded a franchise for 2015, Jacksonville have already revealed their potential logo.
After sixteen years, professional football will finally be returning to Jacksonville.
The north Floridian city has been without a team since the collapse of the Cyclones in 1999, but it was announced at the end of July that they will be entering a team into the NASL in 2015.
Wasting no time, the club have already released a rendering of their new crest.
The logo is subject to change, which it might well do as the team name has not been fully revealed yet, but it is hard to imagine that too many fans would be displeased with this crisp, bright offering (especially given American football’s awful history of design)
The key colours of the logo, which will presumably feature in the team’s kit design too, are yellow and orange – close to the colours seen on the Jacksonville city flag.
At the centre of the crest is a man riding a bucking stallion, most likely former US President Andrew Jackson – the man after whom the city was named.
