My contract does not affect the team

Kelantan Coach Bojan Hodak has warned his players not to let anything distract them from their Malaysia Cup campaign, which gets underway tomorrow.

Hodak whose contract with the Golden Deer runs out at the end of November, is under pressure to perform.

The Keletan FA have approached Lions Coach V Sundramoorthy to take over the reins, but he declined the offer.

Speaking to the New Straits Times, Hodak would not be drawn on his future and was focussed on Tuesday’s match with Pahang.

“The Malaysia Cup is the country’s most prestigious tournament and we will need to be at our best in every match. As for my future, I do not want to think about it as I still have a contract to fulfill,

“I have a squad of talented players capable of landing the title. My focus is on the mission ahead. Everyone is fine but of course some are not 100 per cent yet especially those who just returned from injuries.”

The Croatian has guided Kelantan to two successive FA Cup victories since he arrived at the club in 2012.

as well as taking them to a treble ( Malaysian Cup, Malaysian FA Cup and Malaysian Super League) in his first year. His success also enabled qualification into the Asian Football Confederation Cup.
