Another former Blue, Kalou made the move from LOSC Lille to Hertha Berlin this summer; after the French side failed to qualify for the Champions League.

8) Alex Song

West Ham have pulled off somewhat of a coup this summer, signing former Arsenal man, Alex Song, on a season long loan from Barcelona.

New Southampton boss, Ronald Koeman, may have bagged himself a bargain in the shape of Sadio Mane. At a reported £10m the Senegalese forward has a more than impressive goal scoring record.

6) Cheikhou Kouyate

Another astute signing by Hammers’ boss Sam Allardyce. The Senegalese enforcer could form a powerful partnership in the middle of the park with Alex Song.

5) Samuel Eto’o

With a point to prove after comments by Mourinho last season, Eto’o could be a fantastic signing for the Toffees this term.

4) Yacine Brahimi

In a deal worth over £5m, Yacine Brahimi made the switch to FC Porto from Granada this window after an excellent display at the World Cup.

3) Vincent Aboubakar

Another acquisition by FC Porto, Aboubakar will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of a number of top forwards that have passed through the Portuguese club in recent years.

2) Serge Aurier

After a fantastic World Cup performance, Aurier was heavily linked with Arsenal. The move never materialised however, and the young Ivorian right back ended up moving to French Champions, PSG.
