Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli used Instagram to vent his frustration on Saturday afternoon after his team conceded a late equaliser to Everton in the season’s first Merseyside Derby.
The Reds looked set to take all three points at Anfield thanks to a Steven Gerrard free kick, but the Toffees snatched a 1-1 draw in stoppage time courtesy of a wonder strike from defender Phil Jagielka.
Liverpool had eight of the game’s 10 corner kicks and eight shots on target – three more than Everton.
Balotelli clearly felt that his team deserved to win.
After the game, he strangely uploaded a blank black canvas to Instagram, along with the message: “That blue team sooo lucky! Can t Belive this! seriously p*ssed off.”
One small consolation for Liverpool is that they are now unbeaten in their last nine games with Everton.
