The Costa Rica starlet has not been a regular part of Arsene Wenger’s first-team plans so far this season and is being widely tipped to leave the club in the winter as he looks to secure more playing time.

Benfica were linked with him over the summer after he caught the eye at the World Cup, but it may now be that he is in line for a move to Turkey as Galatasaray hope to snap him up.

Campbell could be a good signing for Cesare Prandelli’s side, who have lured some big names to their club in recent times after signing Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder a couple of years ago.

Campbell is not in that same bracket, but the skillful forward has shown some promise in previous loan spells away from the Gunners, particularly with Greek side Olympiacos last season.

Gala have also shown an interest in Campbell’s Emirates Stadium team-mate Lukas Podolski in recent months, with attacking players clearly on their agenda for when the transfer window re-opens this winter.
