Chelsea Transfer Target Is The ‘Next Rivaldo’ Insists Stamford Bridge Star

One of Chelsea’s Brazilians has talked up his new international teammate.

Chelsea midfielder Oscar has said that comparisons between Benfica striker Anderson Talisca and Brazil legend Rivaldo are not unreasonable.

The 20-year-old forward was hot property in the summer, and has shown why this season. He’s scored goals in the Portuguese league, in Europe, and has now been given a call up to the Brazil international side.

It is here that Oscar has been in contact with the lanky striker, and he has been impressed by what he’s seen.

“Talisca is tall and left-footed like Rivaldo, so comparisons are normal,” Oscar is quoted as saying in the Daily Star.

“I haven’t followed him much at Benfica, but he has great quality.”

The Blues will be on the look-out for a striker next summer, with Didier Drogba unlikely to be able to continue in a first team capacity much longer.

Talisca would be the perfect option for the side, offering much of the same size and physicality as Diego Costa, who misses enough time with injury to mean that his fellow Brazilian would get plenty of game-time.

José Mourinho admitted in the summer that the Benfica hitman would already be in the Premier League if it was not for work permit issues. That obstacle is unlikely to be around much longer, now that the youngster is getting called up to Brazil’s senior side.
