Sevilla Deny They Have Received A Bid From Arsenal For Midfield Target

The Spanish Liga team say that no clubs have approached them over signing their sought-after midfielder.

Spanish club Sevilla have not yet received a bid for Arsenal midfield target Grzegorz Krychowiak, according to Sky Sports.

Krychowiak only joined from Reims in the summer, but his exceptional performances in La Liga have attracted interest from clubs said to include Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund – as well as the Gunners.

A move to North London would seem to make sense, as the side remain short in defensive midfield, but Sevilla’s sporting director Monhci has said that the midfielder is going nowhere.

“We’ve not received any offer for him. Things are going very well with Krychowiak… there’s nothing [to announce].”

Sky speculate is could take a bid of £24m to prise the Polish international from his club, which may well be a stumbling block for the notorious frugal Arsene Wenger.

The North Londoners are well stocked with Polish players even after the departure of Lukasz Fabianski.

Wojciech Szcz?sny is reportedly friends with Krychowiak in the national team and Laurent Koscielny almost played for his ancestors’ country before he made his breakthrough for France.
