It is understood the New Zealand international will fly out to South Africa this week for a medical with the club ahead of the Phoenix’s away clash with Newcastle this weekend.

A move could be announced by the end of the week, however it will not be finalised until the beginning of the transfer window in January.

Brockie has only appeared in five matches for Wellington this season after being forced out of the starting side by the in-form duo of Nathan Burns and Roy Krishna.

The striker has had stints with New Zealand Knights, Sydney FC, North Queensland Fury and the Newcastle Jets in the A-League, as well as a spell with Major League Soccer franchise Toronto FC last year.
