Nemanja Vidic to Manchester United

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Vidic this January. The Serb only left six months ago, and a return could be a disaster for all involved. He has been a liability at Inter, and by coming back to Old Trafford he could ruin a great reputation. Louis Van Gaal has enough injury prone defenders as it is, the last thing he needs is another.

Mauro Icardi to Chelsea

With Vidic struggling at the back, Inter have been relying on Mauro Icardi to keep them afloat. The striker is in great form and has apparently been offered to Chelsea. Icardi’s relationship with Maxi Lopez’s ex-girlfriend has already caused a stir in Italy, and the last thing Chelsea need is their happy and well-balanced dressing room being thrown into disarray by a troublemaker.

William Carvalho to Arsenal

Sporting’s Carvalho has been linked with a Premier League move for years, but oddly nobody has stumped up the hefty fee needed to buy him. The midfielder’s form has slumped horribly this year, and his manager has been forced to defend him publicly Fortunately for Arsenal, they will be protected from an expensive mistake by Arsene Wenger, who would never consider buying a defensive midfielder.

Arturo Vidal to Manchester United

Vidal is a fantastic player, and has proved his worth for Juventus in the last few years. Manchester United look set to be the team who secure the Chilean in the summer, but it’s a transfer that could backfire horribly for the Red Devils. Vidal’s injury problems are mounting, and there are doubt whether he will ever be the same player again after forcing himself to play through injury at this summer’s World Cup.

Jackson Martinez to Tottenham Hotspur

Porto are masters when it comes to getting the maximum amount for their players, and when Tottenham arrive in Lisbon in January stinking of desperation, the Portuguese club will be rubbing their hands. Tottenham could shell out £20m+ to land the Colombian striker, and might be left with another Soldado sized flop on their hands.

Saido Berahino to Liverpool

Another side desperate for a striker, Brendan Rodger’s Liverpool could plump for the homegrown Berahino. Much like Rodger’s other signings, it could well up being a disaster. We can see it already: an overinflated fee, followed by a season on the bench when Daniel Sturridge arrives, followed by a loan spell to Birmingham City.

Adrian Rabiot to Tottenham Hotspur

Rabiot lead the press round the houses as his PSG contract wound down, misleading everyone he was certain to leave before unexpectedly signing a new deal. Tottenham are apparently interested in the midfielder regardless, but signing the Frenchman could mean trouble. They would have to pay a lot of money, considering the 19-year-old has just signed a new deal, and another talented, flightly young foreigner is the last thing that dressing room needs.
