Spurs face possibility of losing two big players.
Tottenham Hotspur are possibly in danger of losing two of their big-name players in the near future as the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool come calling, according to various recent reports.
The north London side have not had the best of starts to the season under new manager Mauricio Pochettino, who looks to have a big job on his hands to improve the club’s fortunes after continued failed attempts at breaking into the Premier League top four.
Spurs have had a number of their best players poached by bigger clubs over the years, and it may now be that Pochettino will have to deal with the departures of this key pair in defence:
1) Jan Vertonghen
According to the Metro, Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign versatile Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen. The Belgian international has not been at his best this season and his departure may not be the worst thing for the club, though there’s no doubt the Reds would be landing a quality player if he can regain the fine form he showed in his first season at White Hart Lane.
