We are about to enter the hectic winter Premier League schedule in the Premier League, with games coming thick and fast from now until New Year’s Day. Some players struggle with the quantity of games, but some thrive.

5) Olivier Giroud
Giroud scored a stunning goal in the game in which he returned from injury, against Manchester United two weeks ago. He’s still being eased back to full fitness, but will hope to be the catalyst for an Arsenal resurgence over the busy Christmas period.

The Chelsea winger has been out of the side for almost two months, but a good midweek performance against Sporting could mean he gets his chance in Mourinho’s side over the next month.
3) Andy Carroll
Has come back from another long-term injury with a bang. Scored twice and set up another against Swansea, and will have a vital role to play in the coming months when Diafra Sakho leaves for the Africa Cup of Nations.
2) Wayne Rooney
Rooney has had a quiet season so far, with so much other action dominating the headlines at Old Trafford. With Robin Van Persie and Falcao out of form, Rooney will hope to catapult himself up the goal charts over the busy winter periods.

Sergio Aguero’s injury risks derailing Manchester City’s season, and Bosnian Dzeko will have to score a lot of goals to fill his boots. With the amazing service he gets from midfield, and City’s easy fixtures, Dzeko is in line to score a lot in the next month.
