The Italian giants were one of the clubs chasing the 28-year-old during the summer while he was still with AS Monaco, though he eventually made the season-long switch to Old Trafford instead.

Still, Falcao has not managed to find his best form for United, struggling with injuries that have limited him to a substitute’s role under Louis van Gaal, who has even preferred youngster James Wilson upfront on occasion.

This has led to some speculation that Falcao may not be in United’s long-term plans, casting doubt over whether or not he will make a permanent move to the club when his loan deal ends.

This may allow Juventus to pounce for his signature, though it is also thought that the Serie A champions may struggle to afford the former Atletico Madrid man, who is among United’s highest earners this season despite his bit-part role in the team.
