Manchester United Prepared For £9m Loss On Wilfried Zaha

The Red Devils hope to agree deal to get England under-21 star off their books.

Manchester United are ready to record a £9m loss on Wilfried Zaha, who is currently on loan at Crystal Palace, in a deal worth up to £6m, reports The Sun.

Only two years ago Sir Alex Ferguson signed Zaha from Crystal Palace in a £15m deal, and the England winger now looks ready to return to the club permanently with the Red Devils to listen to offers of just £6m.

The 22-year-old is keen to remain with The Eagles on a permanent basis, and with the attacker improbable to play any part in Van Gaal’s first-team plans, a move away would suit both parties.

Manchester United’s official website describe Zaha as “one of the most talented and exciting English prospects to grace the game in recent years”, yet the winger has failed to make an impact at Old Trafford, with coaching staff remaining unconvinced, and is now keen on a fixed escape.

When Zaha arrived at Old Trafford, he was lauded in the same echelons as Raheem Sterling and Ross Barkley, but now the attacker has dropped way down the ‘young England talent’ pecking order.

Only time will tell whether a permanent move back south will reignite Zaha’s career.
