Goalkeeper and defence:

With Manchester City’s Joe Hart in goal as usual, the defence could look a little different for England’s next game, with Southampton star Nathaniel Clyne joined by his in-form team-mate Ryan Bertrand at left-back, while rock-solid Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross earns a long-awaited call-up to start at centre-back.

Midfield:

With Wayne Rooney continuing in midfield as he does for Manchester United, he is joined by a distinctly Liverpool-themed selection in the middle of the park as Jordan Henderson partners the England captain in the centre, with Raheem Sterling and Adam Lallana looking good options out wide, likely swapping flanks in a fluid attacking system.

Attack:

Surely a certain to start for England now, Tottenham goal machine Harry Kane lines up alongside Daniel Sturridge upfront as the Liverpool man returns to full fitness after some bad luck with injuries. These two could be a superb combination and make the Three Lions look incredibly strong for the near future.
