GK – Marc-Andre ter Stegen

With neither Brad Jones or Simon Mignolet impressing Brendan Rodgers this season there is much speculation a new goalkeeper will be a priority for the Northern Irishman and this FC Barcelona stopper is considered among the most promising in the game.

RB – John Stones

To many this Everton youngster is a better central defender than right-back, but the Star have predicted Stones will make the short journey across Merseyside to join the Toffees’ arch rivals as a full-back.

CB – Omer Toprak

Currently playing for Bayer Leverkusen there is much expected of this Turkey international and with Martin Skrtel being well into his 30s in five years time a younger option will be needed.

CB – Tyrone Mings

A star of the Championship now and although Mings currently plays as a left-back for Ipswich Town the future of the 21-year-old is considered to be in the centre of the back line.

LB – Alberto Moreno

The first name on the list who currently plies his trade at Anfield and although hasn’t been outstanding since a summer switch from Sevilla has still shown promise.

CM – Jordan Henderson

Has been groomed as Steven Gerrard’s successor as captain and midfield general for some time and there is every reason to suggest Henderson will be able to make the step up.

CM – Pedro Chirivella

An academy player for the Merseysiders now and a midfielder who is yet to even reach his 18th birthday and much is expected of the young Spaniard.

RW – Jordon Ibe

Much is expected of this teenager, who greatly impressed in the recent Merseyside derby and looks set to have a great future at the Reds.

CAM – Philippe Coutinho

Rodgers’ signing of this Brazilian from Inter Milan in January 2013 is starting to look very shrewd as Coutinho develops into one of the best playmakers in the Premier League.

LW – Raheem Sterling

Despite still only being 20-years-old Sterling is already an established figure for club and country and could well go onto be a club legend if he stays and realises his potential.

ST – Daniel Sturridge

The England international will still only be 30-years-old in five years time and if he can shake off his constant injury concerns could be a great asset for years to come.
