Barcelona have five names in mind to add to their squad for next season despite FIFA’s transfer ban for the summer, with a number of Premier League targets among the big names listed.

Although the Catalan giants cannot sign anyone in the summer, they may begin the framework to bring in a number of new faces for January 2016, with Arsenal and Manchester United the main clubs who could be frustrated in their efforts to land some big names…

1) Marco Verratti (Paris Saint-Germain)

An exciting young Italian midfielder, Marco Verratti has impressed for PSG this season and is one of the names being considered as a long-term Xavi replacement for Barcelona, though Manchester United have also shown an interest in the past.

2) Paulo Dybala (Palermo)

Linked strongly with Arsenal for the last few months, Palermo striker Paulo Dybala has been compared to Sergio Aguero and is believed to be another priority for Barca.

3) Danilo (Porto)

Linked with the likes of Liverpool, Porto right-back Danilo looks a top young player and is being targeted as the long-term replacement for Dani Alves.

4) Lars Bender (Bayer Leverkusen)

Linked several times with Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen defensive midfielder Lars Bender is another name on Barcelona’s radar in that position.

5) Mattia De Sciglio (AC Milan)

Formerly a target for Man United, promising AC Milan full-back Mattia De Sciglio is another option being considered in the bid to replace the departing Alves.
