The Real Madrid forward equalised with this bullet header into the far corner, after expertly leaving his defender.

Leroy Sane (Schalke) vs. Real Madrid

The 19-year-old had the European debut of his dreams in netting this curling stunner against the Spanish giants.

Casemiro (FC Porto) vs. FC Basel

The second of two superb free-kicks in Porto’s second-leg tie, but this from Casemiro is simply world-class, and must be a top contender to win goal of the week.

Gary Cahill (Chelsea) vs. PSG

The Blues defender showed the composure of a striker, and excellent technique, to net what Jose Mourinho must have thought was the winner.

David Luiz (PSG) vs. Chelsea

Of course it had to be former the Blues defender to score an 86th minute equaliser on his return to Stamford Bridge – and what a finish it was – possessing similarities to Blues striker Didier Drogba’s Champions League final header in 2012.

Vincent Aboubakar (FC Porto) vs. FC Basel

The striker skipped through the Basel defence effortlessly, scoring this superb solo goal for his side’s fourth.

Thiago Silva (PSG) vs. Chelsea

Against the odds, the Ligue 1 champions came from behind in both legs to win the tie, with this looping header over a hapless Thibaut Courtois leaving the Chelsea keeper with no chance.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke 04) vs. Real Madrid

The Netherlands international came back to haunt his former side with two goals – and his second truly tested the nerves of the Spanish giants.

Mario Gotze (Bayern Munich) vs. Shaktar Donetsk

The German scored a wonderful individual goal in Bayern’s 7-0 rout over Shaktar, with the 22-year-old beating stopper Andriy Pyatov at his near-post.

Hector Herrera (FC Porto) vs. FC Basel

The 24-year-old scored a wonderful curling effort, with his performances sure to catch the eye of Europe’s giants.
